Bluebells in Spring
One highlight of May is the arrival of bluebells to our local woodlands. For me they mark the end of spring and the imminent arrival of summer. Despite the dull, wet and generally disappointing month that we've had this year, I've been out there searching for photos of the first sign of summer.
My first stop for bluebell photographs is always Mugdock, my local Country Park. This park spans the border between East Dunbartonshire and Stirling and you never have to go far before you find a patch of bluebells.
On this particular day the sun made a welcome appearance. That little bit of extra light was just enough to lift the scene before me and bring the little flowers to life. I teamed my lens together with a set of extension tubes to enable me to get up close and capture these fantastic details.
